Our Lady and St. Patrick's Catholic Primary School

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is a top priority at Our Lady and St Patrick's Catholic Primary School.  All school staff have Level 1 training annually and we have a team of staff who are trained to Level 3.

Mrs Long is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL.) She is always available to speak to anyone who is concerned about a child. (01900 812582)

Diane Robertson is the Governor with responsibility for Safeguarding.  She can be contacted via email on chair@st-pat-maryport.cumbria.sch.uk

If you think a child is at immediate risk of harm, you must call the Police urgently on 999.

You can ring the Safeguarding Hub on 0333 240 1727 to seek advice or speak to a Social Worker to report a concern.

School can support families experiencing difficulties through a system called Early Help, where professionals support children and their families through regular meetings.  Speak to Mrs Long or Mrs Goodfellow if you feel your family could be supported in this way.

There is information about Safeguarding below, but if you have any other questions, please ask a member of staff.
