Our Lady and St. Patrick's Catholic Primary School

What we've been up to in class

Year 3 had a fantastic time working alongside Alan Roper from the Settlement project. They created a piece of work for the Bill Peascod festival in May.

Creating our own Iron Man

Year 3 have began their work on the story 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes. We decided to create our own Iron Man from the description in the story using masking tape. Then we labelled his features with words from the book.

Shadow Experiment

Year 3 have been investigating which objects are opaque, translucent and transparent.
We had a lovely time looking at water in our local area for the Wordsworth Trust Endless Arts Award.
As part of out topic, we were visited by a geologist. They looked at a range of rocks and fossils.  We also participated in an experiment to make a volcano erupt.
