CAFOD - 'Brighten Up Harvest' Appeal
🧡 On Thursday 5th October, we celebrated Harvest with a special assembly in school.
🍂 The children learned some lovely harvest songs and we listened to scripture, reflected, sang and prayed together, in celebration and thanks to God for all the goodness of the earth.
🤎 In addition, school staff kindly donated items for a harvest food hamper, which was donated to one of our families (name drawn at random).
🍁 This was also a special non-uniform day in school; we asked that children wore their very brightest clothes and made a donation of £1, to support CAFOD’s ‘Brighten up Harvest’ appeal.
🧡 CAFOD support children and families all over the world, who are living in crisis, poverty and hunger - we were delighted to raise £150, to support the work of CAFOD in making a difference to the lives of others in need.
