Our Year 5 Class Saint is Teresa of Calcutta
St Teresa of Calcutta dedicated her life to caring for the poor.
Her Feast Day is celebrated on 5th September.
To celebrate the Feast Day of their class saint, Saint Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa), Year 5 created some beautiful art work.
Firstly, the children learned all about Mother Teresa - her amazing life and her immense impact on the world.
For their art project, a portrait of Mother Teresa was split in to four pieces and then each person painted a different piece.
At the end of the lesson, the pieces were put back together to create some beautiful portraits!
It was a lovely way to celebrate the amazing influence Mother Teresa had on our world.
