The staff at Our Lady and St Patrick’s see themselves as learners, alongside the children. They are constantly looking at how to reflect upon, refine and improve their practice. This takes many forms.
Our teachers meet every week and focus on specific areas of practice which are linked to our School Development Plan. Our support staff are also involved in this CPD training. This year we have worked on:
Teaching self- regulation to promote positive classroom behaviour in the EYs
Improving Behaviour using EEF evidence-based recommendations
Taking a restorative approach
Christian Meditation
EEF- Special Educational Needs in Mainstream Schools
Oracy
Making Sense of Autism- AET
Loose-Parts Play
