This morning, some the older members of the group went bag-packing in Asda, to raise money for ‘Mary’s Meals’.
‘Mary’s Meals’ is a charity which supports children living in Africa, by providing them with school meals.
Our children did an amazing job - they worked really hard and represented our school brilliantly; many members of the public were delighted by their attitudes. Through their efforts this morning, and thanks to the generosity of the shoppers, they managed to raise a brilliant total of £300!
What’s more, this total was match-funded by the government, meaning a marvellous grand total of £600!
In real terms, this amounts to funding a school meal every day for a year, for a class of 30 school children in Africa - what a truly amazing result!
Thank you children, and thank you to Asda and all their generous customers - a huge thank you to each & every one who supported us!
