At Our Lady & St Patrick's, the development of children's language & communication skills is one of our key curriculum drivers
As we are located in a area of social and economic disadvantage, with a high proportion of Pupil Premium pupils, we are keenly aware of the need to bridge the language gap through prioritising the development of spoken language for our children.
When designing our Curriculum, one of our key intentions is to ensure that our curriculum supports the language development of our pupils, from their earliest days in school.
