Our two-year olds have their very own provision, in 'The Hive', which is specially designed and resourced to meet their needs.
The Hive has its own changing facilities, as well as well-resourced areas for sand and water, building, small world play, role-play and painting. It has a cosy reading area and a sensory space for quieter moments. We also have a quiet sleeping area, in case our little ones get tired!
The adult to child staff ratio for our two-year old provision is very high, so that all children are fully supported during their earliest years in school.
Staff work very closely with parents and carers to make sure that children transition into the provision as smoothly as possible - and without too many tears. We take a really flexible approach, especially when our 2's are first joining us, so that the children join at their own pace - and we are guided by parents and carers on this at all times.
Learning & Exploring Outdoors
Our youngest children also spend lots of time outside, exploring, playing and learning in our lovely garden and on their designated 'decking'.
Have a look at some of our little ones at play, enjoying the sand pit and mud kitchen...
The outdoor has been carefully planned to provide spaces for sand and water play, a track for cars and bikes, wooden seating and planting areas, mark-making, a mud kitchen and a play house.
We currently offer morning sessions for our two-year olds [8.45-11.45am] with places limited to 12 children per morning.
If you are interested in applying for a place, please contact Miss Foster, our Early Years Leader, on (01900) 812582.
