We always make it a priority to support as many charitable causes as possible, throughout the school year.
We endeavour to support these charitable causes wherever, whenever and however we can.
Our children and families are always keen to support us in helping others who are perhaps less fortunate than ourselves for, as Jesus taught us:
'It is more blessed to give than to receive'

CAFOD - Brighten Up for Harvest (20th October 2022)
❤️ This Harvest time, we are 'Brightening Up' for CAFOD! Our school community will join thousands of others to help tackle hunger around the world.
💛 We will celebrate Harvest in school on THURSDAY 20th OCTOBER.
💚 We will perform our harvest songs, which we will share with you on Facebook, Dojo and our school website. We will also draw the name at random for the winner of our lovely Harvest Hamper.
💜 We would like all children to wear their very brightest clothes for school on this day, in support of CAFOD. We are asking for donations towards fighting hunger all around the world. Suggested donation of £1 per family, but please donate whatever you can afford - every little makes a difference. All donations must be paid via school gateway please, as we are unable to accept cash in school.
💙 CAFOD is an international development charity and the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales.

Reverse Advent Calendar Initiative - November 2022
💙 Our Ethos Group are working with each class, to produce 'Reverse Advent Calendars' to support worthy or charitable causes chosen by each class. In this way, instead of receiving a gift each day (as you would in an advent calendar) children will donate a small gift to help others.
💙 Over the next few weeks, your child will be given a number by their teacher. Please could you send a small item into school - something not too expensive - just a little treat that could make someone happy. This should be linked to your child's year group charity e.g. biscuits, bubble bath, doggy chews, coffee, tea, colouring books.
💙 How it Works: Each class will collect items up until Christmas, to gift to their charity or cause. So, if your child is given number 1, please send in your gift on the 1st of November, number 2 on the second of November etc. The box will be full by the end of the month and then the ethos group children will deliver these in time for advent.

🌈 We were thrilled and delighted to learn that we raised a total of £3,416.65, in aid of this wonderful charity!!
🌈 Our Head Boy and Head Girl were presented with the cheque, on behalf of our school, in their first ‘official’ role of the school year.
🌈 Well done children, and a huge thank you to everyone who supported us in raising this amazing total - we’re looking forward to this being an annual summer event!

CAFOD's 'Walk Against Hunger' - Friday 11th March 2022
💚 On Friday, 11th March, the whole school is taking part in CAFOD’s ‘Walk Against Hunger’
💚 Our aim is to raise as much money as possible in support of CAFOD, an agency who support children and families overseas, who are in need.
💚 After joining a national assembly by CAFOD about world hunger, all our children will take part in a walk around the local area. Please give us a wave and say hello if you see us out and about!
💚 We are asking for a minimum donation of £1 per child - or why not sponsor your child to complete their walk and ask friends and families to contribute to this appeal too?
💚 This will be a non-uniform day in school, but please remember that children will need to wear clothing (and footwear) that is suitable for the weather, and for walking!
💚 Please support us if you can. Thank you
Fundraising Event in aid of ‘Mary’s Meals’ (Jan ‘22)
