The Arts
Children at Our Lady and St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School enjoy a wide range of arts based activities, including art, drama, music and dance. It is our aim that all children will foster an enjoyment for the arts. We aim to provide opportunities for pupils to:
- Have weekly music lessons taught by a specialist teacher
- Learn a new language, taught by a specialist
- Learn to play a musical instrument
- Sing in a concert
- Join the choir
- Have a real-life theatre experience
- Have a piece of their artwork displayed for all to see
- Have the chance to take part in a performance
- Have dance lessons taught by a specialist teacher
- Become familiar with key artworks and artists
- Listen to music from different genres and by a range of composers
- Showcase their talents
